War: Survival of The Fittest

We might have already known the most famous quote from Darwinism people: Survival of the fittest. Literally, if we find the meaning of these words for easier understanding is "stronger is the winner". The basic principle of Darwinism is the stronger (or strongest) species can survive from ruthless battle of life. It means the balance between hunter and prey are at its equilibrium spot in order to prevent the extinction of certain species. In simple sentence what I am trying to say is to prevent the annihilation of certain group(s), the groups that interacting each other at certain ecosystem should have balanced power to ensure the survival of their own group against another group.

In a whole other case, such as social science, there is also another form of Survival of the fittest. War, in social science understanding, is a process toward perfection. In war (real war with real battlefield, not like cold war or psy-war), the strongest nation stay survive and the weaker nation get lose and annihilated (its government and also the policy) thus those who left is only the stronger and its policy.  This process we can call as “the way to perfection”: I use the word “perfection” because the stronger nation (the one who eliminates the weaker nation) has the more perfect policy, army, strategy, manpower etc to beat the weaker nation (which is less perfect). So the process of domination toward “more perfect” nation is what I call as “process of perfection”

The wars itself aren’t so bad actually, depends on our perspective. If we using a normative humanism perspective, war is a hell manifestation: All are bad. But if we base our perspective from the view of Social Darwinism, the wars itself are useful for natural selection: to choose a perfect nation, strongest nation, healthiest citizen, and others. Wars destroy social community who has low survivability. Wars kill a weak and disabled person. Wars annihilate a nation who less smart in strategy or weaponry. Wars let the strong faction (nations) to rule and spread their excellence to the conquered nation.

The deficiency of war itself, if I may to say, is the collateral damage or collateral casualties. Collateral damage or collateral casualties can result in destruction of certain great construction, great cities, great buildings, great arts and many others. While collateral casualty may bring death to smart people such as doctors, teachers, philosophers, collegian, scientists and others, also bring death to healthy person. These problems are the main view of every modern war such as war in Iraq, Afghanistan, WWI, WWII, Korean War etc. If current technology is able to prevent collateral damage/collateral casualties to 100%, then the Darwinism Theory of survival of the fittest would seem so right.
